Here at Frazer, all of our aerobics classes are structured to accommodate a variety of fitness levels. We ask that you inform the instructor of any limitations you may have so that they are better able to lead the class in a way that is beneficial to all participants. There is a printable fitness calendar for this month is at the bottom of this page. Here is a list of classes available.
Temple Builders: This is our aerobics class for senior adults. The class includes low impact cardio, light weight training, and stretching. One portion of the class is done with chairs and the cooldown/stretch is done on mats (provided if needed).
Basic Step: (Steps provided) This class is considered a cardio class that can be done with or without step benches. You can increase or decrease the intensity of the class to meet your needs.
Cardio Hi/Lo: This class involves combinations of moves, both high and low intensity, to increase heart rate and work muscle groups. Variations are offered to show different impact levels.
Tone: (weights, bands and mats provided) This class is designed to strengthen muscle groups while incorporating work on balance and flexibility. This resistance training is low impact and is not considered "cardio".
Target Tone: This is a 30 minute toning class that focuses on a specific muscle group the entire session. The "target zone" changes from week to week.
Ball Works: (If possible, please bring your own ball as our supply is limited). This class involves exercise on a stability ball. Stability balls are used to increase strength in the torso or "core". This class uses resistance and balance and involves no impact or "pounding" on the body. Variations are shown to offer different levels of intensity.
We try to offer a "total workout" by combining aspects of different classes. You may notice this when checking the aerobic schedule.
